A
mode of transport often overlooked by visitors to Benalmadena and
Arroyo de la Miel is the excellent suburban railway service, (Cercanias)
that runs between Malaga and Fuengirola. The local station for
Benalmadena is in Avenida Estacion, Arroyo de la Miel. Map here.
The trains are air-conditioned and with a commentary in English,
relating to passengers the next station the train will call at. Trains
are usually always on time, and the fares cheap compared to those in the
UK.
