The Bonanza Bar entertainment venue re-opens on Friday May 10th 2013.
As from 2013, some UK television channels will be hard to receive in southern Spain on a standard 1.2 meter dish. This has been caused by the movement of channels to a new satellite which will not cover most of southern Europe, including the Costa del Sol. It is reported that without the installation of a massive 3 - 4 meter dish costing around 3000 euros, UK TV signals will not be strong enough to be seen.
A new bus service from the Holiday Village / Torrequebrada / Benalmadena Costa to Malaga airport has been inaugurated, Timetable here.
Avenida Gamonal has regained a bus service after the demise of the L1 orange bus a few years ago. The Benalmadena Pueblo and Mijas services, M112 and M121and M126 have has been re-routed from Carril del Siroco / Avenida Bonanza to Avenida Garcia Lorca and Avenida Gamonal with stops at Paloma Park, Plaza Jupiter, Minerva apartments and Agata apartments.The Carola service, M124, now serves Carril del Siroco and Avenida Bonanza.
The half hourly train service from Fuengirola to Malaga serving Benalmadena/Arroyo station is now a 20 minute service. Timetable here.
