Square is set amongst the many apartment complexes in the Avenida
Gamonal area, midway between Benalmadena Costa and Arroyo de la Miel,
and is probably the best known "plaza" in town. It is quiet and relaxed
in the winter months, crowded and noisy at night in the main holiday
months of July and August. Situated opposite the well known Jupiter and
Minerva apartment complexes, many British holidaymakers spend a great
deal of their time here in the evenings at one of the many bars and
restaurants. The Blue Moon, The Local, Las Plumas, Hazy Days, Pekin, The Swan,
Bitto, Pipers, Hong Kong, Capricciom, El Cordera, El Karmen, Brians Bar,
Legends, Robin Hood, Raquel, Shannon, Johnnies. Also on the square is a
Kwik Save Express supermarket, (open every day), an ice cream parlour, a
Spanish butchers shop, a dentist and a chemist with English speaking
staff.
On
the Avenida Gamonal side of the square you will find the Eagle Bar, The
Old Duck, Lefs, Bar Nevada, Ann's Bookshop, Dec's, Frying
Scotsman and IL Vesuvio.
